Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed with regards to the higher variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The support position produced for here intervention experiences a substantial influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it complicated to the office to attend to all people website who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to help the servicing of all customers and improve usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
